React Job: Internship - Full Stack Developer

INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION

Summary:
Trimac Transportation headquartered in Calgary, AB, is looking for a Full Stack Developer intern to assist with Trimac's front-end applications and systems. This position is to assist a current student in securing full-stack development experience. The candidate will be learning to create and maintain applications that assist our business. The Full Stack Developer will work closely with our front-end applications including writing code, performing QA tasks, and working with the business to deliver enhancements to all Trimac Applications.

The Intern will be reporting to the Team Lead of Application Development.

Responsibilities:

• Application software front-end and back-end development in accordance with the frameworks and processes that are in place.
• Author, execute, and document test cases to validate solutions.
• Preparing solution documentation for reference purposes by other IT team members.
• Adhere to the defined change management processes to manage solutions successfully through to production environments.
• Collaborate with team members and 3rd party resources to develop, implement, and support solutions.
• Application support and maintenance.

Skills:

• A keen eye for detail with a high degree of accuracy
• Strong written and verbal skills at both the technical/business level.
• Self-starter with the ability to work effectively with internal business users and external service providers/vendors.
• Knowledge in ITIL Change Management/Quality Assurance practices.
• Ability to adapt between independent and team projects, in the role of member/leader/mentor.
• Delivering on agile projects.
• Ability to manage time among multiple assignments in a busy, fast-paced work environment.

Requirements/Education Studies:

• Current student in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree/diploma in information systems.
• No experience required.
• Ability to program using JS preferred, ReactJS, TypeScript, NodeJS
